The date has been confirmed for the second series of the acclaimed comedy This Way Up written by and starring Aisling Bea.

It will return to Channel 4 on Wednesday 14th July at 10pm. All six episodes will be available to stream on All4 afterwards.

Bea revealed the details on social media: "I fell apart, but you’d never know. Here’s the poster! #ThisWayUp series two will be out July 14th in the UK & Ireland to watch at 10PM, with the wholeeeee series dropping online that night! It will be on @hulu in AMERICA as previously announced on July 9th.

This gorgeous poster was shot and designed by super talent Luke Stephenson."

When asked if it had been photoshopped Bea joked: "Excuse me no, I would never use photo shop, as a FEMINIST."

The second series once again co-stars Sharon Horgan as Shona, the older sister of Aine, played by Bea. Aasif Mandvi plays Shona's fiance Vish and Tobias Menzies pays single dad Richard.

C4 says: "Viewers can expect more bittersweet sister-related shenanigans, including ill-advised trips to infrared saunas, and possibly another sung duet… to give the people what they want.”
