A new online festival will take place this summer featuring comedians including Bethany Black, Tony Law, Glenn Moore, Alexis Strum, Claire Lim and Adele Cliff.

The debut TWINGE Fest will happen online between 12th-28th August 2021 on Twitch, curated and devised by comedian Matt Hoss (@MattHossComedy).

The digital festival will showcase some of the most creative streamers of the last 18 months. Livestreams will be broadcast from 10am to 1am (BST) each day with a different artist occupying a three-hour slot. Viewers can watch online for free, however, donations are welcomed and can be made to the artists directly or paid into the TWINGE pot to be distributed equally when the festival closes. 20% of all donations will go to MIND, the Mental Health Charity: a cause close to Matt Hoss’ heart.

TWINGE Fest is the brainchild of North Yorkshire comedian Matt Hoss (Eric Barker Award Winner 2015; host of 5-star podcast Castival). Like many performers, Matt found a new audience on Twitch when his stand-up tour Here Comes Your Man was put on pause.

Hoss said: “Covid-19 has been tough for performers. When venues closed, many artists moved online and we adapted. Through this sad time, I‘ve found happiness online through Twitch, as it has become my favourite way to perform, because it is immensely innovative. TWINGE Fest is a chance to celebrate the wonderful online communities, which are totally unlike any others. The community there truly means the world to me, and that is what Twinge is all about. It’s inclusive, highly creative and it’s here to stay”.

There are no tickets, just check the link below for line-ups. Performers and volunteers can contact [email protected] for further details about how to get involved.
