Comedians Deliver A Barrel Of Laughs For Father's Day

Comedians Matt Richardson and Kojo Anim have teamed up with wine brand Jacob’s Creek to launch an online competition and deliver moments of laughter to lucky Brits this Father’s Day.

During lockdown, moments of laughter were few and far between and the nation has been craving a dose of pure joy. Australian wine brand, Jacob’s Creek, has partnered with two comedians to launch an online competition to deliver the UK’s most exclusive stand-up comedy performances by ex-Dancing on Ice contestant, Matt Richardson, and Britain’s Got Talent golden buzzer winner, Kojo Anim, inside a 3ft Scotch whisky barrel outside dads’ front doors.

What’s more? To celebrate Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel range, lucky participants across the country will receive a complimentary case of wine with Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The nationwide campaign is launching to provide much needed laughs to Brits (including dads) after a particularly tough year. Available from 10th June, to enter the competition, Brits will simply need to visit Barrel-of-laughs.com* to be in with the chance to win the UK’s most intimate (or so we think) comedy performance – and, who knows, win their dads a gift to remember.

Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel is finished in aged whisky barrels for a richer, deeper, and smoother taste. The Double Barrel range is crafted from superior quality grapes which are first matured in traditional wine barrels. Then, using a unique Double Barrel technique, the wines are finished in aged whisky barrels to build additional layers of complexity. The perfect gift this Father’s Day.

Lucy Bearman, Brand Director from Jacob’s Creek said: “Now, more than ever, it’s important to find moments of laughter. Humour is therapeutic and a coping mechanism during challenging times. We want to bring joy, excitement and a chuckle or two to fathers and father figures around the country by literally delivering barrels of laughter and our award-winning Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel wine”.

As well as delivering a barrel of laughs in partnership with two comedians and complimentary bottles of Jacob's Creek Double Barrel aged in whisky barrels, the Australian wine brand has also commissioned a survey4 to find out the nation’s favourite dad jokes which will feature as part of the campaign.
