News: Film Deal For Prevenge Director Alice Lowe

News: Film Deal For Alice Lowe

Casting has been announced for the new film to be made by Alice Lowe.

Deadline has reported that Sam Riley, Natasia Demetriou and Jacob Anderson will all appear in Timestalker, a romantic comedy charting one woman's loves across the centuries.

And Lowe will also co-star as well as direct. She made her directing debut with Prevenge in 2016 and previously made waves in the film world as one of the co-stars and co-writers along with Steve Oram of the horror comedy Sightseers directed by Ben Wheatley.

In Timestalker each cast member will reappear throughout each historical period, from 1680s Western Scotland to the futuristic 22nd Century.

“It’s so exciting to be working on a grander scale on Timestalker – but with the same crafting of script and comedy improv and brilliant actors,” said Lowe. “This film is my homage to the most romantic epics. Lavish, lush and overflowing with emotion. This film is going to be shameless. All blusher and petticoats and suicidal lovers. The romantic era we all need a pinch of right now. Romance Isn’t dead.”
