Last Leg
The Last Leg is due to return for a sixth series this summer. Following on from three election specials earlier this year, the new series, fronted by Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, will start on Friday, June 26 at 10pm on C4. There will be eleven episodes.
As ever, each week Adam, Josh and Alex will be joined by a live studio audience and a weekly special celebrity guest. In the first show Stephen Merchant will be joining them live in the studio.
I could be mistaken but it certainly feels as if there are more TV comedies with an election theme this year than there have ever been before. Just to pick a few, ITV1 has just launched the topical Newzoids, C4's The Last Leg is running politics-themed shows, BBC2's Jack Dee’s Election Help Desk is like Question Time with laughs and C4'a Ballot Monkeys is providing rapid-response punchlines.
Award-winning show The Last Leg will be returning to C4 from later this month for three live pre-election shows.
Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker will be united again for the run of shows which will move to Thursday nights starting from April 23. This means that the final show will be on general election night, May 7.
