News: Community Comes To All 4

All six seasons of the cult US comedy Community will be made available exclusively on Channel 4’s on demand service, All 4. The first few series will be live from Monday 23 July, with the remaining episodes following in August.

Described as “brilliant and risk-taking and inventive and gut-busting” by TIME Magazine and “a sweet and incredibly clever comedy” by USA Today, it’s sure to delight fans both old and new. Viewers will be able to stream all 110 episodes on All 4’s owned-and-operated platforms, as well as being able download-to-go via All 4’s iOS and Android apps, perfecting for taking the critically acclaimed series to the park or to the beach.

Written by Emmy-winning Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Harmontown), Community is the story of a dysfunctional study group at a community college – when lawyer Jeffrey Winger (Joel McHale – Ted) finds his degree has been revoked, he is forced to go back to school at Greendale Community College. Hoping to score points with the pretty coed Britta (Gillian Jacobs – Love, Girls), Jeffrey invents a study group and invites her to join it. Imagine his surprise when she’s not the only one who shows up for help with Spanish –there’s pop-culture nerd Abed (Danny Pudi – Star Trek Beyond), his best buddy Troy (Donald Glover – Solo, Atlanta), over-achiever Annie (Alison Brie – Glow, The Disaster Artist), sweet yet rage-filled Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown – Chuck, Repo Men) and the incomparable Pierce (Chevy Chase – SNL, National Lampoon’s Vacation). Will this ragtag bunch of students ever learn anything academic? Or will they learn more about themselves.

With Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and John OliverCommunity is a modern classic of surrealism, pop-culture parodies and ludicrous plotlines.

Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor for All 4, said: “Community is a word-of-mouth gem with a fan-base that truly adores the show. We’re thrilled to be giving everyone a chance to discover it on All 4, for free, this summer.”

Community will be available on All 4 from Monday 23 July.
