The second series of crime caper Search Party, co-starring comedian John Early, is set to launch on All4 soon.
In the series a group of self-absorbed millennials become entangled in an ominous mystery and find themselves embroiled in murder and mired in suspicion.
The ending of series one of the cult-hit left viewers stunned when we learned of the disastrous, unexpected consequences of Dory’s (Alia Shawkat) search for her missing classmate Chantal (Clare McNulty) as she was joined by friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early) and Drew (John Reynolds).
But it wasn’t all serious run-ins with private investigators and candlelight vigils, Search Party introduced us to our favourite new sassy millennials as we fell in love with Portia and her desperation to become an actress as well as charity founder Elliott with his ‘humanitarian’ persona and cringe-worthy anecdotes.
The return of Search Party will once again follow the hip, narcissistic and deluded group of friends in this darkly humorous series, as they have to deal with not just a dead body, but personal recriminations their privileged Brooklyn life could never prepare them for. As the group's paranoia grows, their relationships fray, and it becomes increasingly difficult to trust that no one will discover the group’s secret.
