Comedian Katherine Ryan has announced a lot more dates for her Glitter Room tour. Dates this autumn have already been announced and the tour will now run well into 2018. Tickets go on sale on Friday September 8 at 10am.
The tour starts in Bath on September 21 and will currently now end on March 24 in Southport. London dates are still to be announced.
GLITTER ROOM is Ryan's first UK tour since the hugely successful KATHBUM which had two sell-out nationwide UK tours as well as runs at the Edinburgh Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. She also appeared at the prestigious Oddball Festival where she performed in Toronto alongside Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer – she was the first UK based comic ever to perform at the festival. She recently performed GLITTER ROOM at the prestigious venue Caroline’s on Broadway in New York and then had a six-date run of GLITTER ROOM at the 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in July.
The UK-based star fronted the C4 series HOW’D YOU GET SO RICH and co-hosted two back to back series of Comedy Central's YOUR FACE OR MINE with Jimmy Carr. She also regularly appears on all the UK's major panel shows from BBC's QI, HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU and LIVE AT THE APOLLO to Dave's TASKMASTER (which she won) and Channel 4's 8 OUT OF 10 CATS.
She is only the second British-based comedian to have a Netflix Original Comedy Special released globally after Jimmy Carr. KATHERINE RYAN: IN TROUBLE was filmed at the Eventim Apollo and was released to 190 countries in February 2017.
Katherine recently appeared on new topical series FRANKIE BOYLE’S NEW WORLD ORDER for BBC Two alongside Sara Pascoe. Earlier this year she co-hosted a new BBC Two comedy pilot, THAT THING ON FRIDAY NIGHT, with Joe Lycett and Romesh Ranganathan and also had a headliner stand-up set on ITV’s THE NIGHTLY SHOW as well as appearances on ITV’s THE TIPPING POINT, Channel 4’s 8 OUT OF 10 CATS DOES COUNTDOWN, Dave’s GO 8-BIT and More 4’s 8 OUT OF 10 CATS amongst others. In December she will be hosting the Christmas episode of LIVE AT THE APOLLO Series 13 with Marlon Davis, Joel Dommett and John Robins and also has upcoming appearances in new series of BBC One's WOULD I LIE TO YOU? and Dave's DARA O'BRIAIN’S GO 8 BIT.
