Comedian Joby Mageean has been crowned New Comedian of the Year at the Leicester Square Theatre. Second place went to Lewis Dunn and Micky Overman took third place.

The final, now in its eighth year, was compered by Richard Herring and last year's winner LJ Da Funk did a headline set.

Mageean, who previously won the Uke of Edinburgh comedy award in Edinburgh 2012, wins £1000.
