Richard Ayoade is set to return to C4 for a Travel Man: 48 Hours In… Christmas special and then two new series in 2017.

Comedian and film star Rebel Wilson will be joining Ayoade for his whistle stop tour of Florence in the Xmas one-hour edition.

Richard’s travel companions and destinations for the two four-part runs in 2017 are still to be announced although BTJ happens to know that Aisling Bea will be one of the guests. Previous celebrities who have joined him for his 48 hour trips have included Paul Rudd in Helsinki, Katherine Ryan in New York and Chris O’Dowd in Vienna.

Travel Man: 48 Hours In… has been commissioned for Channel 4 by Ian Dunkley, Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment. The series is made under Executive Producer Steve Gowans with Series Producer Chris Richards for North One.
