Kiri Pritchard-McLean is going back on the road with a new show, Josgin.
Beginning on Saturday 1st May 2027 at Machynlleth Comedy Festival, with major shows at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff on Sunday 6th June 2027 and at London’s Soho Theatre Walthamstow on Saturday 9th October 2027, the tour will conclude on Friday 3rd December 2027 at the Black Box, Belfast, taking in an initial a total of 53 dates. Tickets are on sale from Friday 30th October 2026 (with pre-sale on Wednesday 28th October 2026, if applicable to the venue) here.
Josgin/Joskin/Joscin: a North-Walian term used in both English and Welsh to describe anyone from a rural or farming background. It is used both affectionately and in a derogatory way, depending on the audience.
Growing up on a sheep and cattle farm in Wales with a pair of accidental farmers for parents, Kiri vowed she would never become a farmer. Fast forward 30 odd years and Kiri is back in the countryside. She’s a farm up and a parent down and has decided to fix the planet, feed the world and try and reclaim her Josgin heritage.
Kiri Pritchard-McLean said: “I’ve had so much fun writing Josgin and now I can’t wait to get it in front of audiences. Finally, there’s a home for all the bizarre stories from my childhood.”
Since Kiri’s hit 2024 show, Peacock - which explored her own journey to becoming a foster carer and offered the opportunity for local fostering teams to speak with audience members thinking about fostering - Kiri has continued to be a regular voice on BBC Radio 4, as host of panel show Best Medicine and Little Wander produced series Kiri’s Farm. Tough Crowd, the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Peacock was also Highly Recommended in the Comedy category at the BBC Audio Drama Awards.
Kiri is the co-host of much-loved podcast All Killa, No Filla alongside Rachel Fairburn, is a regular presenter on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, and former host of Newsjack. On television, Kiri has been seen on Live At The Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and QI. In 2023, as a former teacher, Kiri, alongside Katie Gill-Williams established comedy teaching facility Gwneud, Make, Do CIC that offers a specialised and focused creative space, allowing access to professional development and training. Kiri has firmly established herself as a leading Welsh voice in the broadcast, comedy and entertainment industries.
