Kevin Bridges Set To Break Northern Ireland Venue Record

Kevin Bridges Set To Break Northern Ireland Gig Record

Kevin Bridges will take to the stage for his 20th and 21st shows at The O2 Belfast this weekend, closing the Belfast run of his Here If You Need Me tour. The milestone will make him the most-performed comedian at Northern Ireland’s largest indoor arena.

Bridges first played there in 2012 and he has returned with each of his major arena tours since, including A Whole Different Story (2015), The Brand New Tour (2018) and The Overdue Catch-Up (2022).

This month's run opened with three sold-out nights in Belfast from 9 to 11 October, with two further dates on 23 and 24 October added due to demand. The run also marks the Scottish comedian’s first visit since the arena became The O2 Belfast in July.

Kevin Bridges said: “I first performed in Belfast 20 years ago at the legendary Empire comedy club, and I felt I immediately clicked with the audiences here. I’ve always loved the people and their humour; it’s a perfect mixture of edge and self-deprecation - similar to Glasgow - and I’ve always tried to play with that on stage over the years. To perform 21 nights over 5 tours is incredible and very humbling to be shown so much love by a special city. Thank you, Belfast, and keep her lit.”

Claire Cosgrave, Arena Director, The O2 Belfast, said: “Kevin has a real connection with Belfast audiences. His shows sell out fast, and the craic is always brilliant. Becoming the most-performed comedian in our venue's

history shows how much people here love him."

Off The Kerb Productions said: “We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone with Kevin at The O2 Belfast. Ever since his first gig at the venue back in 2012, the response from local fans has been phenomenal, with Belfast showing up tour after tour. It’s a real testament to the special bond he has built with Belfast audiences over the past twelve years.”

Here If You Need Me is Kevin Bridges' brand-new stand-up show, following a string of record-breaking tours. Across his career, he has performed to more than two million fans and firmly established himself as one of the nation's most successful stand-ups. His relatable, hilarious and keenly observed comedy has earned him an undeniable reputation as a crowd favourite.

Both Kevin Bridges shows this Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October at The O2 Belfast are sold out. Production hold tickets may be released on the day of each show, and will be available to purchase via Ticketmaster.ie, subject to availability.
