Simon Amstell will follow up an extended London run of his acclaimed new show I Love It Here with a headline slot at Cadogan Hall in Sloane Square.
The gig is part of the venue's ongoing mixed bill comedy season and will take place on Friday, June 5.
Amstell's latest show marks a slight departure from his previous depression-based work, such as the acclaimed BBC stand-up special ‘Numb’, inspired by the award-winning comedian’s inability to feel anything. The new show revolves around an extended anecdote set at a friend’s beach house just outside Los Angeles. Simon finally finds peace: he is in love, released from the need to perform. But when an invitation arrives from the man who first ignited his teenage desire, that fragile calm is thrown into chaos.
What follows is a desperate, hilarious attempt at surrender, during a night of overwhelming stimulation – the raw material for this new show...
Amstell will be joined by After Life/Spinal Tap II star Kerry Godliman. Further acts on the bill will be announced at a later date.
