Comedy clubs across the UK are set to highlight homelessness in the UK with a night of shows on October 8.
Clubs including The Stand chain and The Glee chain, Hot Water in Liverpool, Breakneck in Aberdeen, the Frog and Bucket in Manchester, the Backyard in London and Komedia in Bath and The Forge in Brighton will be putting on gigs to raise vital funds for emergency relief as well as leading prevention services across the country as part of World Homeless Week.
The Comedians vs Homelessness event is presented by Comedy Army, run by comedian Jojo Sutherland, and will feature the UK’s top circuit headline acts stepping up to use their voices and humour for change.
The event is backed by Fiorentini + Baker Bootmakers, who stand for “standing up in their boots to help the homeless off the streets and back on their feet” and supported by ROX Diamond Jewellers, who "remind us that, just like a diamond forged under immense pressure, people can rise from the hardest circumstances when given the right support and tools."
