International Dates And YouTube Special For Nathan Cassidy

International Dates And YouTube Special For Nathan Cassidy

Comedian and ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards founder Nathan Cassidy is taking his show ‘Observational' on a European tour in October and November, visiting the Netherlands, Brussels, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Spain.

The show was the only live show at the 2020 Edinburgh Fringe and was critically acclaimed with ★★★★ in The Times and award-winning with a Best Show Award at the Brighton Fringe.  The show is an uplifting, magical story about Nathan joining a gym and meeting a personal trainer who changes his life forever.  It has been widely praised for it’sfinale, described by The Brighton Seagull as ‘the best ending I’ve seen to a comedy set possibly ever’ and ‘one of the most original show endings I have seen’ by FringeReview.co.uk.  It even garnered praise by Modern Family producer Danny Zuker who called the show ‘truly great’. Cassidy says: ’This is a show that remains close to my heart, and many people have asked for a new tour, so although I don’t usually bring something back, here it is making a slight return.  This show changed the way I thought about hour comedy shows, in that now they not only have to be funny, but also uplifting, and if I can manage it, magical.  It’s hard to match the magical ending of Observational, remembering what it does to audiences I just had to resurrect it.  So after performances around the UK and in Ireland and Germany I’m excited to be touring it to more places around Europe in the Autumn.’

Nathan Cassidy has also released a YouTube special of one of his two new 2025 shows ‘Piracy'.  The special was filmed at The Bill Murray in Angel London earlier this year. One4Review in their ★★★★ review at Edinburgh Fringe this year called it ‘sharp, efficient and deftly executed.’ An Edinburgh Comedy Award winning comedian stole his jokes, now it's time for revenge. But maybe two people can have the same idea, maybe the whole audience can have the same thought at the same time. If not about jokes, then about love. If this is sounding like a musical, then it may just well be. Cue the music!

Cassidy says: ‘I’m so immensely proud of the work we did with the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards this year.  Some of the words shared with me by comedians about the Awards will stay with me forever.  But I also sold out most of my shows at the Fringe this year, with great reviews and didn’t really have time to shout about it, so here is me shouting about my own stuff for a second.  The Piracy special filmed at the superb Bill Murray was an absolute riot, and it’s great to be able to share it with an audience, some of whom I know couldn’t get in to see it in Edinburgh as the rooms were full.’
