
Smoggie Queens has won the Best Comedy Award at this year's Broadcast Digital Awards. The winners were revealed at last night's ceremony, recognising and celebrating the very best digital content and channels from across the UK.
Written and created by Middlesbrough native Phil Dunning, the BBC comedy has already won Best Comedy at the RTS North East Awards, whilst Dunning won Best Newcomer.
Series two promises to bring more slapstick and silly laughs, with some excellent one liners from Dickie (Dunning), and a copious amount of joy for viewers.
Other winners included Peaked, made by Boffola Pictures for Channel 4 Comedy YouTube which won BEST SHORT-FORM SCRIPTED Sponsored by ABBAS Media Law.
