Big Tour For Jessica Fostekew

Big Tour For Jessica Fostekew

Comedian Jessica Fostekew will embark on her biggest tour to date with brand new show MettleOpening at The Y Theatre in Leicester on 18th February 2024 tickets are available from 10am on Friday 27th October from jessicafostekew.com, plosive.co.uk and seetickets.com.

Mettle is a show about passion, pace and purpose from the award-winning star of BBC’s QILive at the Apollo and C4’s Travel Man.

Jess’ son has joined a cult AND her cat’s learnt to talk – but despite all that she’s fine, actually. In fact she’s hurtling faster and hustling harder than ever for the things that she wants and needs.

Jessica Fostekew commands a stage like no other, she’s a fierce storyteller with incredible high energy. A vital voice, Jessica doesn’t shy away from sharing her life on stage with Mettle promising to be one of her most personal shows to date.

Jessica’s last show Wench played a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run and UK tour and is available now as a special. Her previous show Hench was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and won Best Show at the Chortle Awards where Jessica also won Best Act. It’s available to stream now on Amazon Prime.

Jessica Fostekew said today: “I’m properly giddy about sharing this show. I've spent the last year feeling increasingly passionate about so many things from the state of the world to the state of the monsters on Married at First Sight. I’ve had a big birthday and it's come with a torrent of life-bending revelations; the biggest of which is that even if something seems impossible, it might not be. I'd been spending too long giving up too easily. This is a show about shamelessly caring about things a HUGE amount and turning that passion into positive action.”

Jessica Fostekew is a comedian, actor and writer whose stand up show, Hench was nominated for the 2019 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show and has been adapted into the BBC R4 stand up special - Sturdy Girl Club which has been commissioned for a double-length second series.

Jessica's credits are numerous, she has appeared on Live at the ApolloQITravel ManWorld’s Most Dangerous Roads, Richard Osman's House Of Games, and many more. She is also a regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist (podcast with 60 million+ downloads) and host and creator of long-running, chart-topping pod, Hoovering where she's most recently interviewed Joe Lycett, Grace Dent and Jimi Famurewa (recommended in the Guardian and The Independent).

Jessica has co-written and stars in Real Friends, a new special for Sky Shorts and has several scripted projects in development.

As an actor, she’s amassed a slew of impressive credits, including Avoidance (with Romesh Ranganathan), ScrapperThe Trouble With Maggie ColeCuckoo (BBC/ Netflix), Motherland, Out of Her Mind, Trigonometry and BAFTA multiple-award winning BBC drama, Three Girls. You can catch her in the feature films, Official Secrets from Gavin Hood and Greed from Michael Winterbottom.

You can also hear her regularly on BBC Radio 4 & 4 Extra on The Comedy Club, Museum of Curiosity, The News Quiz and The Podcast Radio Hour.
