News: Michael McIntyre's Ex-Manager Launches New App Where Showbiz Experts Can Teach Their Skills

Hollywood Producer, Director and former UK comedy manager Paul Duddridge has launched what is claimed to be the world's first face-to-face Entertainment Coaching app.

Entertainment Coach has been rushed out to bring some relief to the millions of workers employed in entertainment worldwide. With the closure of theatre and the halting of productions many performers have been forced to take on other roles’ like delivery driving and retail work.

Entertainment Coach, described as an "Uber for coaching", uses a simple format. Artists register themselves and the talent that they can share. The app connects them with individuals across the globe who are looking to learn that skill. For example, an actor can register to teach acting lessons via zoom and will be contacted by customers on the app who want to learn acting. The app is free for performers to register and it is the only app on the market that offers live online classes. Sessions last 30 minutes. Artists/Coaches can also set their own schedule and how much their rates are for each half hour.

Creator Paul Duddridge (pictured) says, ’The live entertainment industry faces collapse, theatre, comedy, music has all been impacted. Broadway is closed until July 2021 at the earliest. With this in mind we have decided to release this app a year early in order to help artists earn a crust from their talents at a time when they are not able to work in the profession they love. There is a wealth of performing and creative genius which can now be used to teach the artists of tomorrow. There is nothing wrong with delivering parcels or stacking shelves, but our research shows that the vast majority of out of work actors, dancers, writers and even agents would jump at the chance of supplementing their income sharing their hard-won skills at this difficult time.’

Hollywood director and former manager of Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon, Paul has three decades of experience in creating projects and careers for some of the biggest names in showbiz.
