Multi-award winning comic Robyn Perkins uses stand-up and science to understand life. Her new show Comedy for the Curious is for anyone with a brain and wants to use it. 

Why do we Hate? Love? Smoke Pot? In a world where people want to know why, but also need a laugh, Sydney Fringe Comedy Award Winner Robyn Perkins covers both in her new stand-up, science chat show: Comedy for the Curious. This show delves into poignant subjects, exploring them through stand-up and science. In addition to Perkins’s science-comedy intro about the subject at hand, two non-scientific comedian guests deliver relevant sets, which is then followed by a chat. Topics being covered at the Brighton Fringe include: Why we Hate (Oct 8), Why we Love (Oct 11), All things WEED (Oct 13), Bisexuality (Oct 19) and The Autism Spectrum (Oct 26).

Robyn Perkins hosts each episode, and is joined across the month by the industry’s biggest and freshest comics including: Jack Barry(support act for Russell Howard & James Acaster, Mae Martin’s Feel Good, The Duchess), Cally Beaton (QI), Michael Odewale (The Mash Report), Athena Kugblenu (Frankie Boyle's New World Order), Raul Kohli (BBC Big Asian Comedy Night) & Sikisa (Jonathan Ross's Comedy Club). The show will be on zoom to allow for audience laughter and (optional) interaction.

American Robyn Perkins has been making people laugh across the globe since 2011, regularly hosting various clubs across UK including the internationally renowned Angel Comedy & Top Secret Comedy Club. Since her Edinburgh Fringe debut, Robyn has performed at top international festivals such as Perth’s FRINGE WORLD,  Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney’s prestigious Comedy Store and performed in countries such as the USA, Singapore, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Finland and more. In 2019, Robyn won the Best in Comedy Award at The Sydney Fringe. Science-wise, she still is saving the high seas by being on the board of the Ocean Matters charity. She also has a Masters from Harvard.
