Australia & New Zealand's Early Reopening For Shows Sees British Comics Included In World's Biggest Events

Daniel Sloss will headline five intimate outdoor gigs in the Midlands over a weekend next month and will also debut his latest full-length show in the UK at socially distanced gigs.

The Scottish stand-up star of several Netflix and HBO comedy specials will take top billing for Funny Beeseness on a number of “Daniel Sloss & Friends” shows over the first weekend in September.

Sloss will appear at the Dodington Lodge Hotel in Whitchurch, north Shropshire, for one show at 8pm on Friday, September 4 supported by Kai Humphries and Troy Hawke.

The trio will also be performing two shows (4pm and 7.30pm) on Saturday, September 5 at Katie Fitzgerald’s in Stourbridge in the Black Country, and two shows at the same venue with the same times the following day on Sunday, September 6.

Tickets are now on sale at www.funnybeeseness.co.uk

Funny Beeseness supremo Wayne Beese, who will be MC for all five shows, said: “We’re absolutely ecstatic to be bringing Daniel here for a number of intimate shows.

“He is coming off the back of a tour which took in nearly 30 countries and 300 performances, and his Netflix specials are streamed all over the world. He is a genuine global star, so to get him to come to the Midlands to do these shows is a real coup for us. Kai and Troy are amazing as well so we’re chuffed with the line-up, and can’t wait.”

Funny Beeseness began running outdoor shows in Stourbridge and Whitchurch at the start of August after five months inactivity due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Sloss will also be playing some headline shows this year where he will perform his new show HUBRIS. The first of these shows will be at the Norwich Theatre Interlude, a tented venue, on September 2. This is followed by a gig at The Stand in Newcastle on September 7. Ticket link below.

There are also still plans to do the new show this year at further major venues – Reading Hexagon (Oct 16), Manchester Academy (Oct 22), Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (Oct 23) and London Palladium (Oct 30), Covid-19 permitting. Tickets are on sale at the link below.
