News: Daniel Sloss Edinburgh Queen's Hall Shows Delayed

Australia & New Zealand's Early Reopening For Shows Sees British Comics Included In World's Biggest Events

Comedian Daniel Sloss’ run in Edinburgh this August has been delayed. He was due to debut his eagerly anticipated new show HUBRIS at The Queen's Hall over 16 dates from August 6 - 23.

While restrictions have recently started to be loosened for indoor performances the logistics of staging live shows in larger theatres are considerably more involved than in a smaller club.

A spokesperson for Daniel Sloss said that despite being "gutted" at the postponement, because Sloss is an Edinburgh local and because it appears that a largely Scottish audience is still holding on to their tickets in the hope the shows could go ahead despite being offered the opportunity of having refunds since the festival was cancelled, it seems very likely that the shows will still be able to take place in the early autumn, just as soon as it's safe to do so in a "meaningful" way.

When asked what constituted "meaningful", they explained they meant safe, indoor comedy gigs, with the audience able to relax and sit with their friends even if there is still some social distancing in place, as long as there was a great, live atmosphere: "The Queen's Hall is a lovely, big touring venue that is open all year round and in summer hosts shows that are part of a number of the key Festivals - International, Book, Jazz and Fringe. We are touched by the faith that the fans continue to show in us while we work hard to sort out how to do this and we can't wait to bring Daniel's new show HUBRIS to Edinburgh."
