The BBC has commissioned a second series for The Tuckers, the family sitcom that went out on BBC Wales earlier this year,

The star and writer of the series, Steve Speirs (who recently appeared in the second series of After Life as a man who had been posting letters in the dog pooh bin) broke the news on Twitter: "THRILLED to announce the TUCKERS will be coming back for a second series. I’ve been writing away and can’t wait share with you what happens next to Glyn, Peggy, Billy, Bobby, Nats,Shaks ( and of course Murphy in the bog !) Thanks to all the fans for the AMAZING support"

The series followed the fortunes of the Tucker family, a close-knit, extended family of ‘lovable rogues’ and explored the love/hate relationship between members of the clan as they tried to earn their living, sometimes on the wrong side of the law.

Although it was transmitted on BBC Wales anyone with iPlayer was able to watch it.
