NewS: Marathon Two Days Gig Raises Over £18,000

Multi-media performer John Robertson has raised over £18,000 after hosting a 48 hour version of his interactive live-action videogame The Dark Room on the Twitch platform.

Robertson said that he usually only works an hour each night, which is nothing compared to the shifts currently being worked by NHS staff dealing with coronavirus and mental health workers helping process the fallout from a world pandemic.

So in honour of the doctors, nurses, support workers and admin staff pulling 12 hour shifts, and the emotional labour done by their families Robertson did this epic set.

Highlights of the marathon gig included a successful marriage proposal. "IT'S ALL A BIT BEAUTIFUL HERE" tweeted Australian performer Robertson.

Comedians who took part included John Henry Falle aka The Story Beast and Elf Lyons.

Robertson hasn't commented since he finished yesterday, but we presume he is having a nce long rest.

The money will go to NHS Charities Together and MIND - the mental health charity.
