News: New TV Shows For Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges will host three BBC One TV specials during 2014 to coincide with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the Scottish Referendum.

Live At The Commonwealth will see the Scottish comedian take to the stage at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow to host a very special live stand-up show to celebrate this summer’s games in Glasgow. Due to air on BBC One in July, Live At The Commonwealth will feature internationally renowned comedians from the Commonwealth.

Live At The Referendum will see Kevin return to the Theatre Royal in Glasgow to host a night of live comedy featuring top comedians from the UK. Filmed in front of a theatre audience, Live At The Referendum will transmit on BBC One in September.

Finally the third programme, Kevin Bridges What’s The Story – Referendum Special, takes Kevin out on to the streets of his native Scotland to find out exactly what the independence vote means to his fellow Scots. The special will be filmed on location around Scotland and interspersed with clips of him live on stage talking about the referendum. It will air on BBC One in September.

Kevin Bridges says: “It's a huge year for Scotland with the referendum and the Commonwealth Games, the European Music Awards and the Ryder Cup. It's great to be asked to make these shows and find some comedy in it all. I'm looking forward to it.”
