News: 2Northdown’s New Act 2020 Results

London-based comedian Leo Reich is the winner of this year's 2Northdown New Act competition. He wins £500, a trophy, a free preview spot, a paid spot on one of 2Northdown’s Monthly gigs plus more.

Canadian Comedian Erika Ehler was runner up. Third place was Bella Hull.

The team at 2Northdown said “The competition aims to identify and nurture some of London's finest new comedy talent, giving its entrants a platform to perform to a live audience, and a panel of well known members of the industry from Avalon, Off The Kerb, Phil McIntyre, RBM, Hannah Layton Management and many more.”

The competition had almost 300 applications of New Comedy Acts, from stand up to sketch to character comedy. The competition started back in November 2019, and heats ran every Monday at the venue in King’s Cross.

The applications got whittled down to just 11 finalists – Maddie Campion, Rob Copland, Lottie Field, Erika Ehler, Bella Hull, Pope Lonergan, William Stone, Runi Talwar, Eryn Tett, Harry Wright and winner Leo Reich.

Owner of 2Northdown Nick Mills said “The standard this year was extremely high, and the 2Northdown team are proud to announce Leo as our winner. ”
