News: Laugharne Weekend Festival Saved By Crowdfunding and Welsh Assembly

News: Gofundme Page Set Up For Laugharne Festival After Arts Council Grant Slashed Comedian Trevor Crook
This year's Laugharne Weekend Festival will go ahead as planned. There was a risk that the future of the unique South Wales Festival was in jeopardy following the shock withdrawal of an annual £20,000 Arts Council grant, but a sucessful crowdfunding campaign and support from the Welsh Assembly has saved the day.

The UK’s quirkiest arts festival, running from 27 - 29 March, celebrates 13 years with leading artists, comedians, musicians, authors and poets. The stellar line-up this year includes Martin Parr, Jeremy Deller, Cold War Steve, Martin Rowson, Max Porter, Christie Watson, Duncan Campbell, Kate Spicer, Eimear McBride, Elizabeth MacNeal, Nathan Filer, Brian Bilston, Luke Wright, Ray Antrobus, Tracey Thorn, Stephen Morris, Amy Rigby, Richard King, Martin Carthy, Wreckless Eric, Grace Petrie, David McAlmont, Susan Murray, Carys Eleri, Nick Revell and Henry Normal.

And Keith Allen will be hosting the annual anarchic Laugharne's Got Talent in the local pub.
