News: Julian Clary Returns

Julian Clary

Following eight successful shows in March, Julian Clary returns to St James Studio for a further four nights with his latest show Canned Clary – a mix of smut, chat and special guests. Audiences can expect intimate revelations, gorgeous costumes and a raffle. Or as Clary puts it, “a meeting of the W.I. in a sex dungeon kinda thang.”

Clary's previous guests included June Whitfield and Boy George and stars of this calibre are already clearing their diaries in order to take part in his forthcoming dates. “You’ll be wondering if I can top Boy George”, Julian quips, “but that is a private matter.”

Much-loved homosexual and elder statesman of the double entendre, Julian remains one of the country’s most popular and least predictable entertainers. In the past year his career has gone from strength to strength. He completed a lengthy tour of Position Vacant: Apply Within, performing in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He lent his sharp tongue to the judging panel on Your Face Sounds Familiar (ITV); shared an insight into his 30-year career in showbiz on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories (ITV) and terrorised the audience at The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV) with a cattle prod.

Canned Clary is at St James Studio on June 5 & 6 and July 3 & 4. Tickets and details here.
