News: Badults Returns For Second Series

Badults Series Two

Badults, the flatshare sitcom starring Foster’s Award nominees Pappy’s, is due to return to BBC3 for its second series next month. The anarchic comedy, fronted by Matthew Crosby, Ben Clark and Tom Parry, poses a number of new dilemmas for the trio, such as where's the best place to watch the World Cup?  What happens if you live your life by the roll of the dice? Are the neighbours Russian spies? And what's the best talent: magic, poetry or trampolining? The series was filmed in front of a live studio audience in Glasgow.

The main change in this run is the arrival of Lucy, the new love interest for Matthew played by Katherine Ryan. Matthew’s boss Matthew’s boss Carabine returns, played by Jack Docherty and guest stars include Mike Wozniak (Man Down), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones) and David Reed (It's Kevin). The high energy madness is as ramped-up as ever, keeping the spirit of The Young Ones alive in the 21st Century.

Pappy’s put their takeaway pizzas aside for a moment to issue a joint statement on the return of Badults: “We had so much fun making the first series of Badults so we were delighted when the BBC asked for more. We really love these characters and have loved taking them on even sillier adventures. It's quite different to a lot of other stuff on TV but the reaction from viewers has been fantastic. Clearly people still want a big, knockabout show full of stupid jokes. So that’s exactly what series two is.” The series is due to return to BBC3 on June 2 at 10pm.
