News: Comic Relief Launches Comedy Club

Comic Relief is to the launch of the Comic Relief Comedy Club, a monthly mixed-bill comedy night to be held on the third Tuesday of every month (except December) at The Albany in Fitzrovia (240 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5QU).

The Comic Relief Comedy Club, which kicks off next week on Tuesday 22nd October at 7.30pm, will showcase a selection of the UK’s most exciting comedy talent and provide a space where audiences can laugh their way to helping good causes around the world.

The first Comic Relief Comedy Club will feature Ahir Shah (pictured, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You, Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show Nominee 2017 & 2018), Lucy Pearman (Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Nominee 2017), Chloe Petts (Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Finalist 2017, Funny Women Awards Runner-Up 2017), Giants (pictured, Musical Comedy Award winners 2017, Writer's Guild Award nominees 2018), Travis Jay (Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Nominee 2016, Dave Chappelle and Friends, Seriously Joking) and Joe Sutherland (Top Ten Best Reviewed Shows, Edinburgh 2018) who will MC the event.

The launch of the club follows the success of the charity’s previous live comedy shows, including this year’s Comic Relief Spectacular at the SSE Arena, Wembley which featured top comedians including Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan, Alan Carr, Sir Lenny Henry, Russell Howard, Romesh Ranganathan, John Bishop, Jimmy Carr and many more.

Tickets are £6 plus booking fee and can be purchased from www.ticketsource.co.uk/comicrelief. Profits will be donated to Comic Relief and help fund organisations in the UK and around the world that tackle some of the key issues of our time.
