News: Kojo Amin, Josie Long, play cancer benefit

Britain's Got Talent finalist Kojo Amin, Josie Long (pictured), Crystal Rasmussen, Pat Cahill, Sarah Keyworth, Tom Ward, Ken Cheng, Catherine Bohart, Darren Harriot, Nick Helm, London Hughes and Helen Bauer are among the acts supporting a cancer research benefit weekend. The shows will take place at the Bill Murray in north London on July 13 and July 14.

‘Who Cares? It’s For Charity’ is a brand-new comedy weekend which gives comedians the chance to test their latest material while raising funds for Stand Up To Cancer, a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.

The weekend will feature established comics and emerging talent all performing shows with work in progress material giving the public a chance to sneak preview brand new jokes before they make their way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.

Taking place at London’s intimate Bill Murray comedy club from midday onwards on July 13th and 14th, the money raised from the weekend’s ticket sales, on the day donations and raffle tickets will go directly to funding lifesaving research.

Kojo Amin said: “Everyone who turns up on the night will definitely be thoroughly entertained. I’ll be telling jokes and sharing funny observations about life. All while supporting a cause that’s close to my heart, funding research to create new cancer treatments that save lives through Stand Up To Cancer.”

The event is for 18-year olds and over. For more information and timings and to buy tickets click here.
