News: Big Tour For Josie Long

Following her performance at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Josie Long is back on the road with her new show, Tender.

Tender is about the mind-bending intensity of new motherhood, kindness, gentleness, and joy - all in all, the edgiest thing you will see this year. She knows it is a big ask in this current day and age, but Josie wants her audiences to feel optimistic about the future, (even if it means pulling out her repertoire of silly voices!)

Josie started performing comedy at 14 and went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award at the young age of 17 and Best Newcomer at the 2006 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

After a brief hiatus to study for a degree, Josie returned to stand-up and has never looked back. She has sold out West End runs; performed at the most prestigious comedy festivals in the world including Melbourne, New Zealand and Montreal International Comedy Festivals; five solo tours and sold out shows in LA and New York. She also was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2010/11/12.

On the screen, Josie Long has been seen on 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) andYou Have Been Watching (Channel 4). Her second solo show Trying is Good was released on DVD in 2008 and she has also written for and appeared in Channel 4's teen comedy-drama Skins, as well as being a guest on various radio programmes and podcasts. In 2012, Long and director Doug King also produced two short comedy films in Glasgow called Let's Go Swimming and Romance and Adventure, which were nominated for a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award
