News: Adam Hess & Joseph Morpurgo to Film Live Shows

Joseph Morpurgo and Adam Hess are to film stand-up comedy specials for NextUp, the online video platform for stand-up comedy.

Both will be recording their last live shows, Hammerhead and Seahorse respectively.

Their live comedy shows will be filmed back to back at The Pleasance in Islington on July 9th.

Tickets can be bought at nextupcomedy.com/tickets

Kenny Cavey, NextUp co-founder says “Following our commitment to increase our output to two releases per week - we’re delighted to announce that we’re filming Joseph and Adam’s shows at one of our favourite venues in London. Whilst they’re worlds apart in style - they’re both ingeniously funny and perfectly demonstrate the different types of live comedy out there, that we at NextUp aim to showcase more than anyone else.”

In Hammerhead - Joseph Morpurgo (Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee) presents his masterpiece: a boundary-smashing, nine-hour adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (or is it?). First performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 - the show has toured the UK, gaining critical acclaim for its surreal set-pieces and vivid comic writing.

Whilst in Seahorse - Adam Hess reveals how he lost literally everything in a matter of days and desperately tried to claw his life back. It’s a show packed with razor written punchlines from an Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Nominee and one of the most exciting rising stars in the comedy world.

NextUp also recently announced their plans to film at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and have asked comedians interested in being recorded to visit nextupcomedy.com/edfringe.
