News: Actor Who Played Curb's Marty Funkhouser Dies

Bob Einstein, who played Marty Funkhouser in Curb Your Enthusiasm, has died. He was 76.

Einstein's character, who often argued and fell out with his golfing buddy Larry David, appeared in nearly two dozen episodes of the acclaimed series. 

Einstein was also a comedy writer, with credits dating back to the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, the show that gave Steve Martin an early TV break. He was also famous in America for playing the recurring Super Dave Osborne character on various shows.

His brother was actor/director Albert Brooks - Einstein made a notable appearace in his film Modern Romance. Brooks tweeted: "R.I.P. My dear brother Bob Einstein. A great brother, father and husband. A brilliantly funny man. You will be missed forever."
