News: Initiative To Encourage Comedy Industry To Pay For Tickets Launched

An initiative has been launched to encourage people involved in the comedy industry to pay for their tickets when they see shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Free Free, started by production company Blink Industries, asks everyone who works in the comedy world (apart from reviewers) to pay for tickets to shows at the Fringe if they are able to.

Representatives from production companies including Rough Cut, Lion, Fudge Park and Hat Trick have signed up, as well as lots of individuals and smaller companies making it company policy. A list of those that have signed up can be seen on the website.

‘Free-Free’ is starting with the UK comedy industry at the Edinburgh Festival, but is hoping that the same ethos can be applied across the arts.
