News: Did A Comedian Persuade Toblerone To Go Back To Their Old Shape?

It was announced on Saturday that Toblerone would be reverting to its original "Alpine mountain top" shape after changing to a shape compared to a bike rack in 2016.

According to the BBC, US-based manufacturers of the iconic chocolate bar Mondelez International said the new shape had not been a "perfect long-term answer" for its customers.

But the BBC story did not say more about why the chooclate bar was going back to its old shape. Comedian Simon Caine, however, has suggested that he may have possibly had a hand in the decision.

After the shape changed two years ago he launched a change.org petition for it to return to its original shape, which notched up 387 supporters. After the news was announced that the shape was changing again Caine received an email from change.org telling him his "campaign" was "successful". Caine tweeted: "Never give up on your dreams kids."

Simon Caine's show Sex, Drugs and Other Things I Never Do is at Sweet Novotel from August 2 - 26,. More info here.
