          Kettering General Hospital

Heading up Team Kettering is Becky. She is currently on rotation in Acute Medicine and loves being a doctor. Jordan, a former powerlifter for Great Britain, is currently on rotation in Paediatrics and eventually wants to become a neurosurgeon. Mayank used to be a semi-pro squash player but is pursuing his dreams of becoming a doctor.

University Hospitals of Leicester

Representing University Hospitals of Leicester are good friends James, Jon and Will, who met on their very first day of training.

James is currently on rotation in ITU (Intensive Care Unit) which he admits is very challenging but says he is learning a lot. Jon is currently on the Liver Ward at LRI (Leicester Royal Infirmary) after completing a stint in psychiatry and Essex-born Will is currently on rotation in Infectious Diseases.

Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Kim, Laura and Aswin are representing Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Before studying medicine, Kim completed a degree in anatomy and is currently on rotation in Gastroenterology. Aswin is currently on rotation in General Surgery with his specialist area being anaesthetics. Finally, team leader Laura loves all things drama and performance. She is taking the team's appearance on Britain’s Best Junior Doctors very seriously and is in it to win it.

Poole Hospital

Representing Poole Hospital are doctors Jen, Christian and their captain Rosie.

Born and raised in Poole, Rosie was actually born in the hospital that she now works in, and is currently on rotation in Geriatrics. Jen has three degrees under her belt and a PhD after studying for 12 years. She is currently on rotation in Paediatrics and would like to specialise in haematology. Christian went straight into medical school aged 18.

Royal Liverpool Hospital

Representing Royal Liverpool Hospital are doctors Chris, James and Lewis.

Lewis is currently working in Addiction Services where he deals with patients with drug and alcohol issues. His strongest areas are infectious diseases and cardiology. James is currently on rotation in the Renal Transplant ward, and his strongest areas are infectious diseases and public health.

Finally, Chris is currently on rotation in Colorectal Surgery and his strongest areas of medicine are infectious diseases and cardiology.

The Whittington Hospital

North London’s Whittington Hospital team consists of doctors Hannah, Helen and Gracie. Hannah says her greatest strength, topic-wise, is neurology. Helen is currently on rotation in Respiratory but is hoping to specialise in psychiatry. Gracie is currently on rotation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and her strongest area when it comes to medicine is gastroenterology, which she hopes to specialise in upon completing her foundation year.

Musgrove Park Hospital

Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital is made up of doctors Matt, Laura and their captain Cait.

Cait is on rotation in Respiratory, prior to this she was in Colorectal Surgery and wants to specialise in hospital medicine. Matt is on rotation in Respiratory Medicine and wants to specialise in paediatrics, and Laura is on rotation in A&E and wants to specialise in emergency medicine.

Royal Stoke University Hospital

The three doctors representing Royal Stoke University Hospital are Laura, Zubair and Harriet. These three friends each have different speciality areas: Harriet has a passion for anatomy, Zubair is currently in Cardiology and Laura’s specialist area is gynaecology.
