Emma Thompson has been made a Dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours list. And Carry On star Fenella Fielding gets an OBE for services to drama and charity.

Elsewhere former footballer Kenny Dalglish has been knighted and classicist Mary Beard has also been made a Dame. Lizzy Yarnold, who won Winter Olympic gold, and heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua are appointed OBEs.

Japan-born author Kazuo Ishiguro, has been knighted. Keira Knightley receives an OBE. Tom Hardy becomes a CBE and artist Rose Wylie, who is a big fan of Stewart Lee, gets an OBE.

And controversially Network Rail boss Mark Carne is appointed a CBE at a time when his firm has been heavily criticised.
