It has been confirmed that the final episodes of Peter Kay's Car Share will be broadcast on BBC One in May. The first of two episodes will air on May 7.

As exclusively reported earlier Beyond The Joke had heard rumours that this would be when the two episodes would go out but it has now been officially confirmed.

In the final two episodes fans of the sitcom will see whether John (Kay) finally gets together with Kayleigh, played by Sian Gibson. One episode will be an unscripted episode

The episodes have already been filmed and come a year after Kay said the show would end after two series.

Charity screenings of the new Peter Kay’s Car Share episodes were held at Blackpool Opera House on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th April.
