News: Rising Stars Of Stand Up Film Sets for BBC Show

Some of the top rising stars of the stand-up comedy scene have filmed extended sets this weekend for Live From The BBC, the BBC Three series that showcases new talent.

Among the perfomers who have filmed sets at the BBC's iconic Radio Theatre at Broadcasting House are Fern Brady, Desiree Burch (filming her Edinburgh Fringe debut This Is Evolution), Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee Chris Washington, Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show nominee Mat Ewins, Suzi Ruffell, Edinburgh Comedy Award joint winner John Robins (filming his 2017 show The Darkness of Robins) and Rhys Nicholson.

Previous shows have featured performances from comedians including Nish Kumar, Mae Martin, Alex Edelman, Spencer Jones and James Acaster.

No date has been revealed for when BBC Three will make the shows available but it is expected to be later this year.
