News: James Acaster Live Shows To Stream On Netflix

Four full-length shows by James Acaster are to be streamed on Netflix. They will be available from March 27, which means that by the end of March Acaster will have more shows on the global streaming network than the likes of Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais put together.

Acaster broke the news himself on Twitter: "ANNOUNCEMENT! 4 of my live shows (Recognise, Represent, Reset and Recap) will be coming to Netflix on the 27/3/18 as a stand-up mini-series entitled 'Repertoire'. Amazing work by everyone involved & I'm very excited for the world to see what we've made."

The shows were filmed at the Tabernacle Theatre in West London last September and include three acclaimed Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated sets, plus a fourth show which pulls together older material and ties together the other three shows.

Acaster told me about his hopes for the shows during a visit to the Edinburgh Fringe last summer when he had been touring the shows as his 'Trelogy': "At the very least it’ll be on my website, if I run my mouth off it probably won’t happen. I’m so excited, it’s basically all the comedy I’ve ever written. I’ve improved them on this tour, tied them in together and got the venue and crew I wanted."
