Michael McIntyre has made his New York debut and proved to be a big success.

According to a report in the London Evening Standard McIntyre wowed the crowds at the famous Beacon Theatre.

He asked the audience if anything made sense during the show, but there did not seem to be too much of a problem with them relating to his material about iPhones, weight gain, fatherhood and hotels. He did get a cheer though for saying that he had been married for 18 years - not something that happens all the time in the UK.

His windscreen wipers routine had to be changed to a riff about windscreen shields, but apart from pronouncing "urinal" differently it seemed to travel pretty well.

Thr gig was part of McIntyre's Big World Tour. He has just added some new UK dates including a further night at the 02 Arena on October 14. Buy all tickets now here.
