News: Liam Williams, Sarah Kendall, Penny Dreadfuls Up for Award

Liam Williams, Sarah Kendall and The Penny Dreadfuls are all finalists in the  BBC Audio Drama Awards 2018. The full list has been announced today here.

The comedians are up against each other in the Best Scripted Comedy (longform) category. Liam Williams is on the list for Ladhood, The Penny Dreadfuls are there for their spy-spoof Le Carre on Spy by David Reed and Sarah Kendall is up for her Australian Trilogy.

Elsewhere Marcus Brigstocke’s play The Red is a finalist in the Best Single Drama category and Julia McKenzie is a Best Actress finalist for her performance in John Finnemore’s Double Acts: Mercy Dash.

  • Tinniswood Award for Best Audio Drama Script
    • David Eldridge for Jenny Lomas
    • John Finnemore for Double Acts: Penguin Diplomacy
    • Sarah Woods for Borderland
