Comedian Joel Dommett has become engaged to his girlfriend Hannah Cooper.

The I'm A Celebrity break-out star revealed the news on Instagram by posting a video of a lock changing from vacant to engaged. Cooper posted the same clip and they both tagged each other.

They met a year ago after Hannah messaged Joel on Instagram following his appearance on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'. She sent him a cat emoji with the heart eyes. "That is the modern equivalent of the old phrase 'you had me at hello', now it's 'you had me at cat emoji'," said Dommett.

Dommett wrote: "It's so wonderful, we are so happy. She's very beautiful, I'm a very lucky lad...Weirdly it works out really well because she works all the time and I work all the time and we never see each other. We just kind of find those moments where we both go 'I'm free then are you free then? We are free then, go go go!'"
