Matthew Holness is to star in a new Radio 4 comedy entitled Angstrom, sending up the Scandi-noir detective genre.
The publicity information says that Angstrom is adapted from the bestselling Angstrom Trilogy by Martin English, writing as Bjorgen Swedenssonsson. Although curiously 'Bjorgen Swedenssonsson' does not come up anywhere when doing a google search.
Holness, best known as the star of cult C4 sitcom Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, plays the lead role in the comedy, which is actually written by Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris (The Ladybird Books for Grown Ups, Screenwipe, A Touch of Cloth).
Episodes of the programme are being recorded in October. To apply for tickets click here.
