It has been confirmed when the League of Gentlemen's television reunion will be broadcast.
The eagerly anticipated return will air later this year, marking twenty years since their debut on BBC Radio. In the same year they won the Edinburgh Comedy Award, sponsored back then by Perrier. They are returning to the Fringe this year to present this year's award, sponsored by lastminute.com
The particularly exciting news is that there will be not one programme from Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith and co-writer Jeremy Dyson, but three.
The specials are commissioned by Patrick Holland and Shane Allen, Controller BBC Comedy, and they will be produced by BBC Studios. Executive producer is Jon Plowman, the producer is Adam Tandy, and the director is Steve Bendelack.
