Comedian Mark Simmons has launched an online campaign to become the face of restaurant chain Harvesters.

Simmons was inspired to pitch for the job after his joke about the chain came sixth in this year's Dave Joke of the Fringe competition.

The joke was this: "Combine Harvesters. And you’ll have a really big restaurant.” 

Simmons has tweeted @harvesteruk and has had a number of celebrity retweets. He has now tweeted that he is also starting a second campaign to be the face of combine harvesters.
