The 2018 Vault Festival is to include a comedy festival and is inviting performers to apply.

The Vault Festival, which takes place in the Waterloo venue in London in Spring each year, has regularly featured comedy shows in their programme, but this is the first time there will be a more dedicated comedy section within the season.

The experienced team behind the comedy strand – Brid Kirby, Mat Burt and Andy George – believe that the Festival is the perfect environment for comics to experiment with new ideas, particularly as it sits in the middle of year Edinburgh-wise. Comics can either work out new ideas, or showcase a finished show within the festival as well as using the producers' expertise to help develop new comedy talent.
