Channel 4's online comedy showcase Blaps returns with a new three-part bite-sized Blap, MAXXX, starring, written and directed by The Handmaid’s Tale’s O-T Fagbenle.
The show is about the fictional character Lion. The story goes that in 2004 Lion was the star of a chart topping boyband, but fuelled by egomania Lion decided to go solo. It was a total flop! After a drug scandal and being publically dumped by his girlfriend Rita Ora, Lion now finds himself pining for the life and girlfriend he once had. He heads to Tokyo to launch his new book but after being mistaken as Craig David, knocking out a fan and having a breakdown during live TV, he is determined to win back his fans, his family and his ex-girlfriend. However, from funerals to car fights with the magician Dynamo, wherever Lion goes he always creates disaster.
MAXXX is written, directed and starring O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) and features Dynamo, Helen Monks (Raised by Wolves), Michael Bertenshaw (The Da Vinci Code), Jo Martin (Jonathan Creek) and Hannah Arterton (The Five).
