Carol Lee Scott, who was famous for playing colourful witch Grotbags on children's television in the 1980s and 1990s, has died. She was 74.

Grotbags appeared on a number of television shows. She worked regularly with Rod Hull and also had her own show.

Her niece Gina Mear wrote on Facebook that Scott had "lost her brave fight against cancer...to many of you she was Grotbags - a legend!".
