Peter Sallis, one of the stars of long-running sitcom Last of the Summer Wine and the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit has died. He was 96.

comedian Robin Ince chose to pay tribute to some of his less known work. He tweeted: "Loveliest of whimsical voices, nastiest of Nazis in Scream & Scream Again & horriblest death in Taste the Blood of Dracula. RIP Peter Sallis."

His television work also included an appearance in Dr Who.
